In 1980s England, Marlene is a woman who is willing to get to the top no matter what the cost. To celebrate her recent promotion, Marlene throws a dinner party, with several famous women from history, literature, and legend in attendance. Taking place at a revolutionary moment for a woman’s role in the workplace, Marlene is confronted with the realities of what it takes for a woman to reach the top, and all the sacrifices she has to make to be a top girl.
